On the 1st I had a job interview at Lowe's, it went well. I was told they would call later in the week and set up a time for a third interview.
On Tuesday, the 2nd, I had another job interview for Apple Tree Child Center. It also went well, and was told I'd get a call by the following Monday.
The 2nd was Jessica's birthday and the 3rd was Presley's 1st birthday!! She's so damn cute!
Friday, the 5th, I received a call from Apple Tree with a job offer. Yay! I accepted, of course. Also, on the 5th, Jon went to play in the Friday night tournament at Big Dogs. I went to dinner with my parents to celebrate getting the job. When got to the pool hall they still hadn't started but they were drawing for the Break And Run chance. The guy running the tournament spread out the playing cards on the table and told me to pick one. I dug to the bottom and pulled one. Luckily, it was Jon's number! Sweet!! I left early to come home. Jon ended up winning he Break And Run, which got him $408. Awesome! Because we could definitely use all the money we can get! Then he ended up winning the tournament altogether so that got him another $95. Even better! Good night!
Saturday, we went to Jessica's for Presley's 1st birthday party. It was fun, not overdone, but just right. Gotta love that little girl! She's amazing! After that we came home so I could rest a little. Being pregnant wears ya out! About 7:30 we decided to go eat and go to a movie. So we went out to Jordan Creek. I was hoping we could get something nice but we didn't have enough time before the movie. So, it was fast food. Which doesn't sit well with me anymore. Actually, it never really did before. Then we went and saw The Edge Of Darkness with Mel Gibson. It was pretty good. It was a little more graphic than I thought it was going to be, which doesn't bother me, I just wasn't expecting it. It makes ya jump a couple times too! At times when you already know something is going to happen, it happens like 2 seconds before you expect and it shocks the hell outta ya! Good though.
Sunday, was the SUPERBOWL!! I stayed home and cleaned up a bit and waited for my friend Erin to drop off her dog, whom I'm dogsitting until the 17th. :) Jon went to play in a doubles tournament early in the morning, so...whatever. Erin got here about 3:15, I stayed for a bit to let my dog, Tippy, and her dog, Lola, get to know each other a little before I left. Then I went to my parents house for pizza and some Super Bowl watching. Right about half time I left and went to the pool hall to watch Jon. Him and his partner got 4th, $50 each. Which wasn't that great because the buy in was $45. Oh well, least he didn't just lose the $45. Saints won the Super Bowl!! Then we came home and I pretty much went to bed so I could get up and go to work.
First day of work today. Went well. I'm worn out now. We got about 4 inches of snow so far today, which drives me nuts. I'm going nowhere until work tomorrow. I can't stand the snow anymore! I want sunshine and warmth! We'll see how the rest of this week goes. Might be fallin' asleep here soon...if the dogs will shut it! Hehe!
