I debated using that title because the whole '#' before things is a trend that needs to die...like, now. But it seemed fitting...
Started my new job on April 30th. The work is...boring, but working 7:30-4, Monday through Friday is A-Mazing! I'm a tad worried about the pay cut because pretty soon I want to be moving out on our own and I thought it was tight before. Gonna have to see where we're at once checks start coming in, I guess.
Speaking of checks, I've been getting child support regularly. Thanks only to the government for TAKING it from him because Lord knows he'd never willingly GIVE it. He has asked me many times if he and I could come to an agreement to lower the payments. No. Especially now that I took a pay cut and insurance will probably be more expensive.
**Enter yet another stupid choice on his end**
We had mediation this past Thursday just to finalize everything. I thought we'd be fine. Nothing really changed, we'd been doing fine as far as visitation and all that stuff. Thought it would go smoothly and we'd be done with it all. Yea, no. First I learn that neither Jon nor his lawyer even read the final decree so some of the things mentioned on there were total surprises to them. (Like him paying back day care and the rent my parents loaned him and the rest of this TV). So, Jon proceeds to have his lawyer refigure the child support to include his one week off a month. Which brought his salary down closer to mine (my new one). So, in return for him being a douche, I had MY lawyer refigure it with MY new salary. All said and done...somehow the percentages came out to where he owed MORE! HA! Serves you right!
Now, you might think...that's that! Right? No. Dill hole refused to settle with the new amount. So, yippee-skippy! We're going to trial!! Fan-freakin-tastic! My awesome lawyer then comes back with "It's fine, we'll just go for lawyer fees too because this is just stupid and any judge is going to see this as a giant waste of time." Love her! She's awesome!
Everything else has been going pretty good. Boston got sick Thursday. He was weird when I got home from work and then proceeded to decline. I finally took his temp and it was at 102.2. He was chewing on his fingers and drooling A LOT so I figured it was due to cutting teeth. Course, I knew running a fever THAT high is a little much for teething. Kinda blew it off as...he's just a little sick, mixed with teething. Gave him some Tylenol, and put him to bed. He still had a temp when he got up so my mom took him to the doctor. Outcome: double ear infection and hand-foot and mouth disease. Yuck! I felt terrible for him. Hit him so suddenly, it was weird. He's doing better today but I could still tell he was a little out of sorts. Hopefully he'll be his usual self tomorrow for Mother's Day. :)
