One Year

It's been one year since I left Jon (seems longer) Which also means it has been one year since Boston and I have bee living with my parents.

After going through...oh, 5 jobs in the past 2 years (most by choice), I'm finally in a place where I know I'm going to be for a long time. For the past two years I have been doing everything possible to get where I needed to get in order to provide for my child, whether on my own or not. We just needed to finish one last step...finding our home.

After months of searching and hating myself for being unable to provide something decent on my own, we've finally found it! A nice little duplex, on a cal-de-sac, in a quiet neighborhood, pretty close to my parents house. I'm so excited! Yet, I'm a little nervous. Money is going to be even tighter now and I hate that. But, on the bright side Clint said he might try and come to town to help move :) Happy Birthday to me! Hehe

The landlord mentioned that pets are negotiable so hopefully at some point he will let me bring Tippy home to be with me. We're going to kinda wait on that until it is a necessity, when Holly sells her house and can't bring Tippy with her :( Poor puppy. Hands down the sweetest dog ever! I'd say that was Scout but she's a growly ol' pup these days. I thought about giving her (Tippy) up when we moved out of the apartment last year but it broke my heart to even consider it, don't know how people do it.

We leave for Texas on Thursday! I'm so excited! This year is going to be so completely different form every other year because I have Boston now. Watching a 2 year old at the ocean could be a bit tricky...and tiring! He'll have Presley to follow around and a couple other kids so he'll have a blast I'm sure!

Boston has now been to two movies in the theater. Madagascar 3 and Brave. He did great at both! Sat on my lap, ate his popcorn and watched very intently. Brave was a little scarier than M3 but he seemed alright. I think having his hat to kind of 'hide' under, helps.

Me on the other hand...have yet to see Magic Mike. Mmmm....Channing Tatum....

My cousin Matt swam in the Olympic trails this past week. Didn't do well I guess but hey, you're at the freakin' OLYMPIC TRIALS!! Good job anyways Matt!!

In the process of planning Boston's 2nd Birthday Party! So what if it is a ways away...gotta get things set. Plus, we'll be gone just about half of July so I gotta get on the ball! Might be a little in over my head with the 'cake' again but I don't care. If possible I want to continue making his cakes for years to come. :)

Oh, and 10 days after we get back Jon and I go to trial. What a waste of time and money! Whatever though...
