On Our Own!

It has, once again, been a very long time since I've written. I'll try and start where I left off.

Texas: Our family reunion was in Surfside Beach this year. Things were a little different given all the little kids that are around now. Not bad...just different. Each family had their own house too, so I'm sure that cut down on a lot of the bickering and junk. Unfortunately we only had two days of sunshine; the day we got there and the day after. It rained the rest of the time. It was great seeing everyone again and getting away from every day life for a while. Hopefully, at some point I will have internet access at my new place and be able to upload pictures.

After Texas was our trial (for child support). Biggest waste of time ever but whatever. I came out on top, once again. Child support itself went up due to an oversight on Jon's claims, plus he now owes back daycare expenses from the time I left him until February when child support start being TAKEN from him. So, there is an extra $40 a month! I didn't get lawyer fees or the money that he owes for bills (the TV, rent) but oh well. The funny thing is, if he would've just agreed to the original amount...he would be paying $100 less than he is now. How's that working for ya?!

Boston and I moved out the first weekend in August. Into our little duplex. So far I'm loving it! I will also have to take some time to post pictures when I can. There is a little girl next door who is almost 10, I was a little worried about her coming over all the time to play with Boston but it really hasn't been a problem yet. She started school this week and hasn't been around much but she sure keeps Boston busy when is. Nice little break for me!

I've also started 'dating' a guy named Scott who is significantly older than me and it has caused a few issues within my family apparently. I'm not a moron though and my head is more on my shoulders than it ever was with Jon. I know my mother doesn't necessarily approve but she has at least been kind enough to give him a chance and NOT judge him based on his age or his past. Thanks Mom! Scott is very good with Boston and Boston really likes him. He is very good to me also. Guess I feel like I shouldn't say too much since it is such a 'sensitive issue' with everyone still.
