New Stuff

This past week was actually eventful! Yay!

Monday afternoon I had a phone interview with NCMIC, where Holly works. It went well I thought. They must have thought so too because they called me the next day to set up an in person interview for Thursday. So Thursday came along and I went to work and then took my break and got ready for the interview. It went well I thought. I just don't want to get my hopes up and be disappointed.

I headed back to work but decided that I didn't want to go. So I called and told them I was going to take the rest of the day off. Luckily it was a low count day so they didn't really mind (I don't think). I went to World Market looking for picture frames. Found a good one with 5"x7" holes and 4"x6" holes, so it was perfect. Then I went to Babies-R-Us and exchanged the long sleeved onsies I got for Boston for bigger ones. 6-9 Months!! He's not even 3 months old and that's the size that fits him!

After Babies-R-Us I decided to take car of getting Jon's car towed outta the Hickman Auto parking lot and to the dealer so they could figure out what was wrong with it and possibly fix it. So I spent a freakin' HOUR waiting at Hickman Auto for the tow truck! Usually they're there faster than that. Then I went to Hy-Vee and then to pick up Boston from my parents. It was good to have a day to myself to get things done.

Boston is finally grabbing hold of things. His coordination has gotten a lot better. He loves playing on the floor. Sometimes he is there so long I start feeling guilty and just pick him up and play with him. He really doesn't like being on his tummy so whenever I do that it only lasts a few minutes.

It turned out that Jon's car SUPPOSEDLY needs about $1000 worth of work. Well, we don't have anywhere near that kind of money to get it fixed. So Jon went out all day Saturday looking for a car and to trade in both of the ones he has. Surprisingly he came home with a Nissan Pathfinder. I'm jealous! They didn't really give him what he was looking for for the Camaro but they found out that it had been in a huge accident at some point and fixed up. Jon really wanted to get rid of it then! Then they told him they'd give him I think $1000 for the Buick, which is good since it doesn't even work. He will be making payments on the car and has tried figuring out if he can afford it. He thinks he can so we'll go with it. The Pathfinder is just what we need. It's really nice and I want one now! Haha

Boston has moved up to standing in a bouncer/jumper thing. We 'traded' Jessica the swing for the bouncer. Even though the swing was theirs anyways. This was his first time in it. I don't think he knew what to do but he loves being able to see everything.

Friday Boston and I went to Toys-R-Us with Grandma Becky to look for Christmas presents. I bought Boston a little race car thing I think he'll really like once he starts sitting up. And I bought one of Presley's presents. I didn't realize our Toy-R-Us was so big! We need to go there for Madison before we go up to Fargo because the one in Fargo is crappy!

Other than that nothing else is new I guess. Next weekend is Thanksgiving so its a three day work week for me. Jon on the other hand will have Wednesday off and then work almost 12 hour shifts until the Wednesday after that. It's good though, then he will have extra money to pay for that car and get some Christmas presents and the trip to Fargo which I think we're doing on the weekend of the 11th? Jon needs to get that figured out at work, my work is pretty open.
