Ramble, Ramble...

I don't really have much to talk about so I figured I just kinda update things.
Let's see...Jon got a new job. An electricians apprenticeship. Can't remember the name of the company. So everyone is happy for him and a little more relaxed about the situation. Unfortunately, he waits for the last minute and didn't find a place to live (being unemployed might have had a lil to do with it) so this weekend he's moving into my sisters basement until he finds something. Which, he says that it wont be long but, you never know with him.

I will be starting my full time hours at Sears NEXT Sunday, September 4th. I had to work out my entire two weeks with Aero so its been pushed back again...blah! ONE MORE WEEK!!! Thank God!

I've reconnected with some friends I haven't hung out with in a while. Our friend Anna got married on the 20th and that kinda helped to get us together again. Her wedding was oober religious, I mean...her DAD married them. Yea, one of THOSE families. ;) Awesome people, but not my cup of tea. We didn't think there would be any alcohol at the reception so we stopped at a bar that was close, The Cab out by Wynnsong Theater. It's got new owners I guess. But the bartenders are AWESOME! They were like "Going to a wedding? Here's a *something* cake flavored shot." "Favorite color is yellow? Here's a yellow colored shot" Good thing was they were all REALLY weak shots and its all I had so it didn't really do anything for me, but it was fun. Erin and her boyfriend, Adam were drinking a lot of other drinks also so they were both schlammered! It was comical. They have a Skirts & Jerseys night I think on Saturday nights, where if you wear a college football jersey and a skirt you drink for free! Awesome! Gonna have to buy me a jersey!

Today was awesome! Spent the whole day with my lil man! We hung out at home til after his morning nap then we got ready and went out to Jordan Creek Mall and played in the play area. He LOVES it! All the kids, all the commotion, all the things to climb on and slide down. He had a blast! After a while we went shopping. I originally went into Scheels to find a football jersey for that Skirts & Jerseys night but ended up looking at shoes for Boston. Found some New Balance tennies in WIDE taht fit him really well. I didn't really wanna spend that much for shoes but we looked everywhere else and went back and got 'em. They're so cute and they make him look like a little boy instead of my little BABY! :( After shopping a bit we went back to the play area and Boston played a little longer. I could tell he was tired though because he would just sit there and watch all the kids running around him. By the way, I love hearing complete strangers say that Boston is "sooooo cute!", especially when they don't know that the woman sitting next to them is his mother. Hehe Looooove it! That play area is super cool. Boston loves it!
Let's see. What else?
My dad is retiring. He has worked for Sysco for 34 and a half years...crazyness! He will be working a different job that will be just daily stuff. No more overnights, not more super long trips. He deserves it, he has worked very hard for a a very long time and I don't think any of us can ever express how grateful we are for everything he has provided us with and given to us. Love you Daddy!

Boston's birthday is in 4 days! Today was my actually DUE DATE...but the lil booger was too comfy in there I guess. Blah!

I went to the dentist on Wednesday. Not as bad as I thought. I thought they were gonna say they have to pull a bunch of teeth and that I'd have a bunch of cavities. Nope, just A LOT of tartar. It was nasty seeing the junk she scraped off my teeth. She asked if I smoked, it was so bad! I hadn't been to the dentist since before I left for college...8 years ago! Then after she cleaned my teeth, the dentist came in and after looking around a bit he said "Have you been doing some whitening?" HAHA I was like "no" and the lady goes "there was so much tartar it looks white now" GRODY! I'd say it was embarrassing but I don't get embarrassed that easily. I just think 'I'm sure they've seen worse'. I did have a couple cavities though, which I'll need to get filled once my insurance from Sears starts. Then there were a couple 'pits' that he said he was going to keep an eye on. Blah, blah.

Finally, completely moved out of the apartment! Yay! One less thing to think about! The stresses just keep shedding off my back! I love it! I already feel happier and more like myself than I have in a loooong time! Yay me!

This is a link from the Parents Magazine website...hit the nail on the head. I have been searching for the words to explain things and here they are....

"...maybe sometimes, we don't have the strength to do what is best for ourselves until we have to do what we know is best for our child. Maybe it's not an accident, after all. Maybe it happens for a reason. Maybe that baby who at first you didn't want or plan for...saves you, in the end."

You saved me B...
