According to the What To Expect books Boston is doing pretty well. Other than not walking yet, he's pretty much right on track. And I'm not worried about the walking. It varies so much child to child he'll be fine. He'll be running in no time! I'd like him to start walking just so he can play outside more. He gets so scarped up crawling around on the cement and its too hot to put long pants on him. So, hopefully soon when its gets really nice, he'll be walking and can have a great time outside!
Thursday was my last day at Aero. Kinda sad but I believe I'm making the right decision as far as Boston and I are concerned. Although the DM did tell me she proposed 30k/yr for me I still don't think it'd be worth it. The added stress, the shitty hours, no overtime...that kind of thing. Plus at Aero, if I were sick or Boston was sick...there wouldn't be anything I could do about it. I'd still HAVE to go into work, I wouldn't really have a choice. Not that I call in often or anything but its good to have the flexability to be able to call in if need be. It's great to feel wanted and needed and important but, like I've said, if I had any help from well....the guy who got me pregnant (we'll just call him that because he doesn't seem like much of a father), I'd be more comfortable with the hours. But, I don't.
So pretty much I've worked all week. My new schedule starts Sunday and I couldn't be more excited! No more Friday nights at work, no more NIGHTS at work period! I get to get up with my boy in the morning and I get to put him to bed at night. So grateful and lucky to have been offered this job! Can't wait! Sundays might suck because I work til 7 and there's football and I'm going to miss a lot of it. Boo. Oh well, small price to pay for being around for your kid more. Man, I love that kid!
Boston had his one year Dr. apppointment today. He weighed 25.1 lbs! I can't remember what his measurements were exactly but he was in the 90th percentile for EVERYTHING! Doctor said "Well, he's proportionate, he's just really big!" Haha I thought it was pretty funny. My monster child! With his bear claw
hands, and fat feet! Hehe Love it! He did pretty well with all the shots. The finger prick really caught his attention. She squeezed his lil finger to get the blood to come out and collected it in a lil tube. Man-Oh-Man was he intrigued! He stared at her and at his hand like "What the hell..." Haha it was cute! The other shots, however...not so much. This was actually the first time that I almost cried. He sound like he was in soooo much pain! But as soon as I picked him up...well, we both felt better! Hehe Doc said he mimicks really well for his age. I just thought...'he's been doing that for a while now...'. She said, "you can give him things like scrambled eggs and pieces of meat..." and again I thought '...been doing that for a while now...' but whatever...
He has his one year pictures tomorrow. One of our friends' cousin is going to take them. She had her daughters two year pictures taken by her and I thought they were awesome. So I got ahold of her and we're gonna give it a try. $75...not too shabby! The prints cost more but then everyone cn order what, how many, and what size they want so I think its better. Plus they're not the boring studio pictures. (Some people like those and that's fine, I personally like a little more of my childs personality in his photos) Just My Opinion though. I'll post pics when we get 'em.
I should prolly go to bed. Knowing now that my mom's computer works in my bedroom is probably a bad thing because I could be on it all night. I'm going to make myself sleep though.
