Fall Fun!!!

Holy Moly! It has been two weeks since I've written and LOTS has happened! Fun stuff tho, nothing bad. As usual, nothing too exciting happens in my life. Although, I must say...the following pictures make MY life an amazing one! Not so sure how it may effect yours tho. My blog, not yours. ;)

I've worked a lot but I love it. I don't like the nights I have to close, but...it comes with the territory. I'd rather love my job and sacrifice a lil than hate my job and still sacrifice a little. Worth it to me!

My 'one weekend off a month' FINALLY came around. I guess not 'finally' it just seemed like a very long time. So I made plans for us (Jon, Boston and I) to go to Carroll's Pumpkin Farm in Grinnell and go to Living HIstory Farms' trick-or-treating night. Boston really liked the pumpkin farm. They had goats and tractors and wheelbarrows, swings, a corn box, pumpkins (obviously), tractor rides, corn maze, all kinds of stuff!

Isn't he cute!
Not as cute as Boston tho...
Would've stayed in the tunnel all day if we let him.
Staring at big kids
LOVES swinging!
Had quite the time in here too.
Tractor/barrel ride.
After all that we ate lunch and headed home for a nice long nap. Then we got B all dressed up in his costume and met Jessica, Steve and Presley; Brock, Jackie and Ava; and Colleen, Chris, Bridget and Connor at Living History Farms. Presley was Dorothy (to go along with Boston being a lion), Ava was a pirate, Bridget was Jessie from Toy Story and Connor was a lion too! Boston did pretty well at first but after a lot of walking and a lot of waiting in line he started getting a little fussy. It wasn't the greatest time in the world. A lot of waiting for not a lot of stuff. Still fun though and B looked SO ADORABLE in his costume and having cute lil Dorothy to go along with him, was great! Boston was VERY tired and zonked out on the way home. Good thing we had put his PJs on underneath his costume. Easy transition!

Could he get any cuter?!
All the Moms and all the babes!
Too cute!

Sunday we got up and went to the pumpkin patch to actually pick out some pumpkins. Boston was more interested in either the nearby dog, the nearby traffic or...kicking the crap out of all the pumpkins. Apparently every round-ish thing is a soccer ball and must be kicked. He gave them quite a funny look when they didn't move. Then we took advantage of the AMAZING weather and proceeded to carve our pumpkins. Boston had fun. He kept walking back and forth over the piles of pumpkin guts and slipping all over then plopping on his butt right in the middle of it all. It was great! I can't remember what we did that night now...I don't think we really did anything. Maybe I'll think of it later...

Sadly, the weekend ended :( B and I didn't really do much all week. Friday I got my hair cut and colored. I like it but I don't know how to style it like the guy did when he cut it and stuff. Oh well.

This past weekend was Halloween weekend. I went out Friday but I was feeling guilty about not spending much time with B all week so it wasn't all that great. I worked Saturday night and had planned on going out but I decided not to. Wasn't feeling up to it. Sunday after Boston's nap we went to Night Eyes at Blank Park Zoo. I thought it would be a lot busier but it wasn't. We were also there kinda early so I'm guessing it got busier later in the night. Boston had a great time again! After a couple times going up to the people passing out candy he would walk up, point, 'say' something and apparently expected some candy. Although he got tired he did a great job! He has no problem having his costume on or there being lots of people around. The Clifford costume right at the beginning kinda scared him but we just kept walking. He loved looking at all the ACTUAL animals and occasionally would do his lion "roar". They had a "yellow brick road section" with Tin Man, the Good Witch, and Dorothy by a big rainbow. It was cute...Boston was the Cowardly Lion.
After that we went out to dinner at El Rodeo. Boston didn't eat much. He's getting pickier and pickier in his old age. ;)

Once we got home we were just going to chill and enjoy the rest of the night. Our friend Susie texted me and said we should stop by. So we decided to go over there and get some candy. We stopped at a few houses on our way back and got quite a bit of candy. Once again, Boston did his lion 'roar' for a few people. I was a little irked when two different people thought he was a girl. One was a really old lady so I let it go but the second person was younger and it kind of irritated me! Lol

That was pretty much it for fun stuff. I had today off too so B and I got to hang out a little more. Around lunch time I did go into work for a couple hours to work on some paperwork I have to have done by Wednesday. People from corporate are visiting and they check out EVERYTHING! Yikes! I'm going to have to go in early tomorrow to finish up and probably work through my lunch to finish up a little more. I would think that they would get on my case much since I've really only been there a month. Seems like a lot longer...in a good way. Learning a lot and pretty soon I wont have to go in on my days off to get things done!

Not gonna lie...its a little strange for me to be 'overachieving' Haha Even tho this is stuff I was supposed to have done before, I didn't really know anything about it so now that I do, I gotta catch up. I used to just say, Oh well....not my fault I didn't know I didn't know...

Things are great! Got one BIG goal I wanna reach and hopefully I can get started on getting there here soon (damn paychecks need to be corrected!)
