Once Again...

Once again its been about 3 months since I've blogged. I just never really think about it I guess. But I think I should start writing on here more than I do Facebook, because....well, not EVERYONE needs to know EVERYTHING. Not that I really care. Don't wanna read it block me or unfriend me.

Anywho...

Since I last wrote quite a bit has happened. Liiiiiiiiike....I'm ENGAGED.

Shhhhh...I'm not supposed to talk about it until after Holly's wedding. Which, I totally understand and don't really care. I'm not really one to talk about it much anyways. I know my colors, I think we have a date, I know the general stuff and once Holly's wedding buzz has faded it'll be my turn.

I'm very excited and very nervous. Scott and I have had our issues in the past (as every relationship does) but for some stupid reason we make ours much more known than everyone else. Which we've also been working on. We've worked through it and have gotten stronger. I guess the reason I'm nervous is because of Scott's past. Yes, I've thought it over and yes, "statistically" the 5th marriage wont work (yea....I said 5th. No he's not proud).

Aside from that I know how I feel about him and trust how he feels about me. He treats me very well and would do anything for me and Boston.

So, that's that.

Umm...Scott and I have been renovating this house since we moved back in last May. Ok, Mostly him because he can pretty much do anything. ANYTHING! lol

The first thing we put together was Boston's room. Painted, fixed, new window, carpet cleaned...etc. The only thing left in his room is the trim (and maybe a new bedroom door).

The second thing we did was the siding. That's pretty much done except painting the soffits and putting on some of the fascia. The weather changed and we were unable to complete that stuff. Hopefully we can get that done really quick before our summer full of fun :)

The third thing was our closet. It was horrible and set up for pretty much one person. Well, we went to Menards and got a big closet set up and filled in holes, painted and put it up. Now, its perfect. We may need a couple additions (drawers, shelves, etc).

The fourth was our lovely, wonderful, almost complete living room! Scott helped my parents reface their fire place and got a wild hair. He decided he wanted to put in a gas fireplace. So, he did. all by himself. He built the casing and put up the brick. Then with my tax return we decided to put in carpet (which I've wanted in here since I moved in with him). So, went and looked, found what we wanted right away and had them come out to measure. They gave us a time frame on when they'd get it and that got our asses in gear!! Scott took up the laminate floor. We mudded the walls and ceiling. Painted the walls and ceiling and now the carpet is in and its trimmed. IT. LOOKS. AMAZING!!! The only thing left is the shelves on either side of the fireplace. Scott said that he's done working on the house and it's time to play so those might wait a little while. He said he'd work on them here and there but there's no rush.

Our next project is getting the boat ready for the summer! Since it has been sitting in a storage garage for YEARS it needs some upgrading. In all actuality, even if we (Scott) puts $5k or more into fixing up the boat, we'll still have come out ahead because we got it for so cheap! Hopefully, my Sling Blade - like boyfriend (in the sense of being good with engines) can get it started right away as there were some issues right after we got it (may need a fuel pump, which buying would still be worth it...again, we got it cheap). We're waiting on the Boat and RV show that is coming to DSM to find someone to do the upholstery on the inside. I'm so excited. This summer is going to be great! The boat has a cuddy, which means it has the cabin underneath. Which means we can sleep on it and so can Boston! It has a fridge, a stove, a sink and a bathroom.

Boston has been an absolute dream through everything! He's behaved so well with all the changes.

More on him next time (which WILL be sooner than 3 months)!! lol

I gotta watch Parenthood!
Peace!!
